Ever thought about writing a book?

I first thought about writing a book when I was in sixth grade. I'd graduated from reading Nancy Drew mysteries and the Black Stallion saga to Victoria Holt, Janette Oke, and Douglas Adams. My first manuscript (handwritten, of course) featured twins separated at birth, an unjust murder, secret identities, secret baby, secret loves, lost loves, swashbuckling rooftop fights, and a heroine single mom masquerading as a European countess unbeknownst to her duke husband who believed she was dead except she had to fake her death because whoever killed her twin sister now wanted her dead, too. A traveling carnival family found and adopted her, teaching her all the skills she would need for her future life as a Lady Zorro. My story idea was a tale like no other.
If only I hadn't stopped writing on page 2.

I have five beautiful, funny, and slightly weird children who know what they say is fodder for a social media post, which is probably why they say what they do. Orphan Polly in my ECPA-bestselling anthology, Mistletoe Memories, is a compilation of my three girls.

Click HERE for a CV of my writing, including my poetry and creative nonfiction. That page on my website is my final project for Advanced Composition, one of my university professional writing courses.
The blog Milo's Tricky Grammar is my capstone project for a Coursera course I took on grammar. And if my REYLO page is listed in the menu, then that means I've finally stopped grieving what is The Rise of Skywalker.
